Saturday was already scheduled to be a long day at the Presidents Cup. Friday’s rain delay will make it an even longer day and viewers will be able to watch almost all of the action live with more than 10 hours of television coverage scheduled.
2013 Presidents Cup: TV coverage for Saturday’s matches
Players will be on the course from nearly sunrise to sunset on Saturday and viewers will be able to watch a lot of the action live.
Four foursomes were still on the course when play was suspended. Those players will be back on the course Saturday morning with play scheduled to resume at 7:35 a.m. ET. Once those matches are complete, five four-ball pairings will be announced and those matches are expected to start around 8:30 a.m. The day will wrap up with five more foursome matches, with players likely playing as long as daylight allows.
NBC will provide extensive television coverage, and the broadcast will begin at 8 a.m. Golf Channel will change their original schedule to come on the air at 7 a.m. to broadcast the resumption of Friday’s Foursomes matches at 7:35 a.m. Coverage will continue until at least 6 p.m. and will likely continue longer if players are still on the course. Play was suspended at 7:20 p.m. on Friday and with Saturday’s scheduled matches expected to begin one hour later than previously scheduled, play could continue until 7 p.m. or later again on Saturday.
In addition to the television coverage, viewers will also be able to follow the action online and on the radio. Golf Live Extra will provide an online web stream beginning at 12:30 p.m. and radio coverage begins on Sirius-XM radio at 9 a.m. Here is a complete look at Saturday’s coverage.
