A four-shot victory at the Thailand Golf Championship over the weekend has launched Sergio Garcia into the top 10 of the most recent 2013 World Golf Rankings.

Garcia, who began the weekend at No. 19, shot a four-under-par 68 in the final round to clinch the victory and pick up 38 world ranking points. He now holds 228.94 points and a 5.31 points average this season. The win marks the Spaniard’s tenth top-ten finish in a tournament this year.

Garcia held off world No. 3 Henrik Stenson of Sweden to take the tournament. Stenson remains trapped behind Tiger Woods and Adam Scott with a 9.16 points average.

Woods, who finished second in the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge two weeks ago, remains in the top spot.
