A four-shot victory at the Thailand Golf Championship over the weekend has launched Sergio Garcia into the top 10 of the most recent 2013 World Golf Rankings.

A victory at the Thailand Golf Championship launches the Spaniard to the No. 10 spot, while Tiger Woods retains his world No. 1 ranking.


Garcia, who began the weekend at No. 19, shot a four-under-par 68 in the final round to clinch the victory and pick up 38 world ranking points. He now holds 228.94 points and a 5.31 points average this season. The win marks the Spaniard’s tenth top-ten finish in a tournament this year.
Garcia held off world No. 3 Henrik Stenson of Sweden to take the tournament. Stenson remains trapped behind Tiger Woods and Adam Scott with a 9.16 points average.
Woods, who finished second in the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge two weeks ago, remains in the top spot.
