British Open 2013 leaderboard: Miguel Angel Jimenez leading at 3-under

The leaders continue to falter late in the second round and now Miguel Angel Jimenez is alone at the top of the leaderboard.

With Zach Johnson, Angel Cabrera and others faltering down the stretch, Miguel Angel Jimenez is now atop the leaderboard at the Open Championship. Jimenez is in the clubhouse at 3-under after shooting a 71 on Friday.

Johnson and Cabrera led for most of the day, but both have had issues on the back nine. Johnson was in the lead at 5-under after back-to-back birdies at No. 12 and No. 13. He didn’t stay there long, however, as he bogeyed No. 14 and doubled No. 15 to drop to 2-under overall. Cabrera was 4-under through 13 holes, but is now 2-under through 16 after back-to-back bogeys at the 14th and 15th.

Phil Mickelson is four strokes off the lead after a double bogey at No. 16. Mickelson hit the green with his tee shot at the Par 3, but went on to four-putt the green.

The double bogey was his second of the day after he started the day with a double at No. 2. Mickelson saved par with a solid putt on No. 18 to finish the round with a 3-over 74. Although he dropped out of the red, Mickelson will still begin the third round within a few strokes of the lead.

Brant Snedeker dropped to 5-over after carding a 8-over 79 in the second round. Snedeker shot a 43 on the back nine, including three double bogeys. Here is a look a snapshot of the current leaderboard and a few notable players.
