Many in the golf world may not care, but Tiger Woods is well aware that Inbee Park, with a win this week at the Women’s British Open, would accomplish something that no one -- not even the 14-time major champ himself -- has ever done.

“It’s pretty incredible, pretty incredible, to win the first three and the way she did it, executing, and it seemed like she just is making everything,” Woods told reporters Wednesday about Park compiling the first three majors of the season and going for an unprecedented fourth this week at St. Andrews.
“It’s good to see,” Woods said from Firestone Country Club in advance of this week’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. “It’s really neat to see someone out there and doing something that no one has ever done, so that’s pretty cool.”
A win at St. Andrews would elevate Park to rarified air that no golfer has ever breathed. The 25-year-old from South Korea would become the only player ever to earn four professional major championships in a single season, though former and current members of her tour have bemoaned the distinct lack of buzz surrounding her amazing accomplishments.
At least the world No. 1 on the women’s side knows that her counterpart on the PGA Tour is cheering her on.
