Three early birdies, including consecutive ones on Holes 5 and 6, pushed Tiger Woods to 11-under in final round at The Barclays, moving him one shot behind leader Kevin Chappell.
The Barclays leaderboard: Tiger Woods moves to 11-under, 1 stroke off lead
The top of the leaderboard at The Barclays is getting crowded.

Woods, who began the day four strokes off the pace, stuck his second shot at the par-4 fifth hole within two feet and tapped in for birdie. He followed that with an up-and-down from behind the green at No. 6 to birdie the par-5 for the first time this week at Liberty National. Woods later made birdie on Hole 8 to keep pace with Chappell, who made his first birdie of the day at that hole.
Woods has never won The Barclays, previously known as the Barclays Classic and the Buick Classic.
Joining Woods at 11-under are Matt Kuchar and Gary Woodland. Graham DeLaet made a leap up the leaderboard, moving to 10-under overall and 6-under for the day through 17 holes.
The top 100 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings qualify for next week’s Deutsche Bank Championship. Heading in to The Barclays, Woods was ranked first.
