PGA Championship 2013 odds: Jason Dufner favored heading into the weekend

Following his second-round 63, Jason Dufner is the favorite to win the PGA Championship.

Jason Dufner surged into the PGA Championship lead with a 7-under 63 on Friday, and as a result he’s the betting favorite after 36 holes. Dufner is a 7/2 favorite to win the Wanamaker Trophy, according to Jeff Sherman of the Las Vegas Hilton Superbook.

Dufner will open the third round at 9-under, two strokes ahead of the field. He was somewhat of an afterthought coming into the second round, but shot up the leaderboard en route to setting the Oak Hill course record. Adam Scott is the second favorite with 4/1 odds. Scott, who led after the first round, is tied for second place at 7-under.

Matt Kuchar is also 7-under heading into Saturday, and he currently has the third-best odds at 6/1. Kuchar and Scott are tied for second place with Jim Furyk, who is at 12/1. Outside of Dufner, Justin Rose may have turned in the most impressive round of the day, carding a 6-under 29 on his final nine holes. He’s three stokes off the lead through 36 holes and is listed at 7/1. Like Rose, Henrik Stenson is 6-under and has 7/1 odds to win.

Tiger Woods heads to the weekend 10 strokes off the lead. The pre-tournament betting favorite struggled during the first two rounds and now has 60/1 odds to win.
