BMW Championship leaderboard 2013: Rain delay suspends final round

Torrential rains have twice suspended play in the fourth round of the 2013 BMW Championship.

The final round of play at the 2013 BMW Championship went into a second rain delay Sunday at about 3:30 p.m. ET. That was before a majority of the field teed off, and BMW Championship officials confirmed to the Chicago Tribune that the event would extend into Monday.

The tournament had previously been suspended from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with 34 players yet to tee off, including leader Jim Furyk. After becoming the sixth PGA player to ever shoot a 59 in the second round in Lake Forest, Ill., Furyk shot a 69 in the third round to take a one-shot lead into Sunday at 13-under.

Steve Stricker is chasing Furyk at 12-under, and he has a one shot lead over third-place golfer Brandt Snedeker.

Furyk and Stricker were scheduled to tee off at 5:10 p.m. before rains caused the second delay of Sunday.

Among the six players to tee off and finish their rounds was Rory McIlroy, who shot a 68 for the second day in a row after shooting 78 and 77 in his first two rounds, respectively. He finished the event at 7-over.
