Henrik Stenson shot a 2-under final round Sunday to finish the 2013 TOUR Championship at 13-under, holding on to win the tournament. The victory bumps Stenson to a first-place finish in the FedEx Cup standings, aided by Tiger Woods’ uneven finish in the tournament at East Lake Golf Club.

The Swede leaped over Tiger Woods to win the 2013 TOUR Championship, and with it, the FedEx Cup.

Stenson is the first European to win the TOUR Championship and the FedEx Cup. The Swede began Sunday’s final round at 11-under with a four-shot buffer, but strong rounds by Jordan Spieth, Steve Stricker and Webb Simpson closed that gap. Spieth and Stricker tied for second at 10-under while Simpson finished alone in fourth at 9-under.
Stenson held steady in the front nine and recorded one birdie, and a more up-and-down back nine was enough to hold off the field.
The victory for Stenson jumps him over Woods, giving Stenson $11.4 million in combined earnings -- $10 million for winning the FedEx Cup and $1.44 million as part of the TOUR Championship cut.
