Tiger Woods lost his status as the world’s top-ranked golfer to Adam Scott in May. Almost five months later, Woods is also a former No. 1 in the world of endorsements, with LeBron James unseating the 14-time major champion as the most lucrative personal brand in sports.

Formerly top-ranked golf superstar Tiger Woods is also an ex-No. 1 on Forbes’ top sports brands list.

After seven years as the athlete with the highest brand value, according to Forbes estimates, Woods dropped to second place behind the former Miami Heat star. The returning member of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2014 brand is worth $37 million, which Forbes’ “Fab 40” calculates as the amount James’ off-court profits exceeded the average endorsement and non-hoops income of the top-10 earners in the NBA.
The brand value for Woods, who reigned supreme on Forbes’ list of athlete endorsers since 2007, slipped from $46 million in 2013 to $36 million this year.
The injured superstar wasn’t the only golfer to make this year’s roster, as Phil Mickelson ($29 million brand value) nailed down fourth place. While Woods’ earnings went south after his relationship with Electronic Arts ended last year, Mickelson’s 2013 British Open win boosted his sponsor proceeds.
