Tiger Woods throws up on golf course, withdrawal watch on at Hero World Challenge
Woods vomited before making birdie on the first hole.

Tiger Woods has teed off in Saturday’s third round of the Hero World Challenge, but whether the ailing tourney host makes it to the 18th green is up for debate.

— Brian Crowell (@bcrowellpro) December 6, 2014 Woods, whose bad back has been fine in his first two competitive rounds since August, labored to an even-par on Friday with a cough and fever. Looking poorly on the practice range Saturday morning, Woods made birdie on the first hole -- after vomiting before he got to the green, according to Golf Channel’s Tiger watcher.

— GC Tiger Tracker (@GCTigerTracker) December 6, 2014 Woods hoped to make his return to his former stomping grounds at Isleworth a useful rehab assignment after a long layoff to tend to his surgically repaired back. Should he not be able to finish, it would be Tiger’s third WD in the 2014 calendar year.
Tiger started out his third round in 18th in the 18-player field. He previously withdrew from the Honda Classic in March and the WGC-Cadillac Championship in August. After this week, it’s unlikely we see him in a competitive tournament until the end of January or first week of February, either in Dubai or at Torrey Pines.
UPDATE: He’s still hitting awful chunks, flubs, and duffed chip shots. After four on Thursday and one more on Friday, he did this in the third round -- perhaps his worst of the week.
