Ian Poulter, a day after blasting fellow WGC-Cadillac Championship competitor Hideki Matsuyama on Twitter for poor etiquette at Doral, was back at it, tweeting on Saturday that golf writer Dale Concannon bore a striking resemblance to a particular part of the male anatomy.
Ian Poulter tweets rant at golf writer a day after blasting Hideki Matsuyama
Ian Poulter was having a bad week on Donald Trump’s revamped Blue Monster and tweeted a blue streak at a golf writer.

Didn't realize you were that much of a Penis. But they do say you learn something new everyday. @DaleConcannon
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) March 8, 2014 Concannon, who took to Twitter to type his objection to Poulter calling Matsuyama an “idiot,” and take a shot at the sartorially splendid Brit who has yet to win a major, also reminded the 2012 European Ryder Cup star of a shape quite the opposite of a golf stick (anyone else remember Robert Klein’s old joke about hot dogs chasing donuts through the Lincoln Tunnel?).
So you can write a story about an overrated golfer who actually won something. Donut @DaleConcannon
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) March 8, 2014 Poulter made nice with Matsuyama prior to their pairing in Saturday’s third round, but not before calling out the 22-year-old Japanese golfer, who, frustrated after missing a par putt on the par-3 13th, tore up the green with his flat stick turned shovel.
playing with Matsuyama tomo. He buried his putter in the 13th green 5 ft from the hole, Referee had to repair the crater. Because he didn't.
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) March 8, 2014 Why should Matsuyama leave a crater in the green for others to putt over, or have to call a referee to repair the damage. Idiot.
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) March 8, 2014 Perhaps Poulter, who began Sunday’s finale at 6-over and was not exactly on his game, took his own frustrations out on Twitter.
The 2 most bizarre days @TrumpDoral. From the windiest yesterday to the calmest I've ever seen it. I played horrible for 13 holes.
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) March 8, 2014 Can’t wait to see what Poulter has to say after Sunday’s round.
