Rory McIlroy may have been tuckered out from his frustrating play at the Deutsche Bank Championship over the weekend but the world No. 1 had enough verve left Monday night to engage The Next Big Thing, Jordan Spieth, in a friendly “mine’s bigger than yours” contest. Seems the two rich young men could not agree on whose private jet was more ample than the other’s.

Flying with @ZachJohnsonPGA @Keegan_Bradley @GaryWoodland and company.. Not enough storage for bags Going to ask @McIlroyRory to help haha
— Jordan Spieth (@JordanSpieth) September 1, 2014 Spieth finished T29 at TPC Boston on Monday and was traveling to Denver with certain and potential Ryder Cup teammates Zach Johnson and Keegan Bradley (along with Garry Woodland) when he engaged McIlroy in some Twitter banter of the friendly skies variety. The four-time world champion replied in kind but Jordan the Younger (by four years) may have gotten the better of Mr. Rory:
@JordanSpieth need to get yourself a bigger plane youngster happy to help pic.twitter.com/hOYrBgLpz5

— Jordan Spieth (@JordanSpieth) September 1, 2014 Once he was wheels up, McIlroy had some more fun at the expense of his snoozing caddie. JP Fitzgerald, no doubt, just wanted to get in some zzzz after caring for his boss, who unhappily shared fifth place at last week’s second of four FedEx Cup playoff games, but Rory was wide awake:
