Rory McIlroy shot his first career hole-in-one on Friday, but it was not enough to overtake Martin Kaymer for the top spot at the 2015 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
Watch Rory McIlroy drain his 1st career hole-in-one

The world’s No.1 golfer used a 9-iron on the 177-yard par-3 15th to card the third hole-in-one of the week and shoot a 6-under 66 to get to 11-under for the week — two strokes back of Kaymer.
Tom Lewis (No. 7) and Miguel Angel Jimenez own the other two eagle-1s of the week, with Jimenez, whose ball bounced once before finding the bottom of the cup on 15, winning the post-ace accolades with his triumphant moonwalk.
Rory’s celebration was a tad more subdued, as he satisfied himself with a fist pump, a high-five with Rickie Fowler and a low-five with his other playing partner, Matteo Manassero.
McIlroy ended his day alone in third place, with Thomas Pieters between him and Kaymer.
