Phoenix Open 2015 live stream: How to watch the final round online, TV coverage and more

Here’s how to take a break from all the stupid and inane Super Bowl pregame coverage.

Allan Henry-USA TODAY Sports

If you want avert your eyes from the many hours of vacuous Super Bowl pregame programming, there will be real, live golf also played in Phoenix on Sunday afternoon. The Waste Management Phoenix Open lost a bit of momentum when Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson failed to make the cut and rain poured down over the second and third rounds. But the crowds still came for the weekend and it remains the rowdiest and loudest event in golf.

Even without Tiger, this tournament is a fine Sunday option if you prefer to watch actual golf shots as opposed to some talking head yammer on about the Super Bowl. Unless there’s a delay, the tournament is set to conclude just before 6 p.m. ET and lead in to kickoff down the road in Glendale.

Bubba Watson, the headliner with Tiger and Phil gone, fell off the pace a bit on Saturday and is now five shots back of leader Martin Laird. The three-time PGA Tour winner is 13-under for the tournament after posting his third straight round in the 60s (66-66-68). With another number like that, he’ll become the fifth straight winner of this tournament to post all four rounds in 60s -- the course presents plenty of scoring and birdie chances to whip up that rowdy crowd.

With the West Coast swing now in full gear, the season of Nantz is upon us. CBS returned to golf Saturday afternoon and they will carry the conclusion of the final round Sunday. They’re the primary network partner of the PGA Tour, with NBC getting several swaths of the schedule as well, and the West Coast swing is one of their better stretches. They will go live at 3 p.m. ET taking over for Golf Channel, which will provide 90 minutes of early coverage from TPC Scottsdale.

If you’re unable to watch on TV, or simply want a second screen while pregame matters play on your TV, there will be multiple ways to watch online. Both Golf Channel and CBS will have their usual simulcast of their entire broadcast, and PGATour.com has its featured holes stream running on the rowdy par-3 16th all day. It was at that hole yesterday where Francesco Molinari made a hole-in-one, prompting the crowd to shower the entire hole with beer. So that may be a stream to just have up and running in the background. Here are all your media options for the fourth round in Phoenix:
