Farmers Insurance Open live stream: How to watch Sunday’s round online, TV coverage and more
Jim Nantz is here to guide you through a Sunday afternoon at one of the prettiest venues on the PGA Tour.

The weekend at Torrey Pines always seemed to signal an unofficial start to the PGA Tour season. It was usually Tiger’s first appearance of the year. The venue is gorgeous and suitable enough for a major championship. The field is usually pretty deep. And it was often Jim Nantz’s first Tour stop of the season.
This is the beginning of stretch of the calendar known as the “Season of Nantz.” The CBS broadcaster didn’t have last week’s Super Bowl, so he’s already got one tournament under his belt this year, the WM Phoenix Open. But from now until mid-April, he’ll call most of the West Coast swing, the NCAA Tournament and Final Four, and the Masters. Golf is often cited as his preferred sport to call, so we’re now hitting peak Nantz season.
Golf Channel and CBS will split duties for Sunday’s final round of the Farmers Insurance Open. It’s the typical arrangement for the West Coast swing, with Golf Channel getting 90 minutes of early-round coverage and CBS bringing it home. There will be that bothersome 30-minute blackout period as graphics and talent are moved around for the final three hours (a stretch that always seems to come as the leaders tee off or are on the course). While they may share some talent, like Frank Nobilo and Nick Faldo, that half-hour is still needed to switch things out -- a break that’s not necessary when sister networks Golf Channel and NBC split the duties on the upcoming Florida swing.
Tiger, of course, didn’t make it to Sunday for the second straight week in a row and for the second year in a row at the Farmers Insurance Open. The tournament, much like the Phoenix Open, lost some steam with the departure of Woods and Phil Mickelson, the hometown favorite, who missed the cut on Friday afternoon. But there are some top talents, both young and established, on a clustered leaderboard heading into the final 18.
Harris English has been one of the top American prospects for several years and already has two Tour wins at 25 years old. This victory at the South Course, however, would be the biggest of his career. Chasing right behind are Jimmy Walker and Jason Day, two of the best in the world who will be factors at the top events throughout the season. And of course there’s the venue, which is always pretty to stare at on an otherwise cold, slow Sunday afternoon. If you’re unable to get in front of the TV, there will be multiple streaming options throughout the day. Both networks will have full simulcasts up and running and the Tour will have a featured holes stream as well. Here are your media options for the final round:
