Rory McIlroy meets up with Tom Brady at Augusta National

Rory McIlroy posted proof positive on Facebook Thursday night that he and four-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady had a golf date at Augusta National.

The meet-up of the two top players in their respective sports definitely had the makings of another PGA Tour My Buddy commercials.

McIlroy, the winner of four majors, had scheduled a couple of practice rounds this week ahead of next month’s Masters, which he’s favored to win and complete the career grand slam. Sure hope Brady, more than a month removed from his third Super Bowl MVP performance, did not let the distraction of losing all-world cornerback Darrelle Revis to the hated Jets disrupt his golf game.
