Tiger Woods returns to Augusta National for another turn around the course that will host next week’s Masters. Whether the four-time winner of the green jacket will be on the tee on Thursday likely depends on the outcome of Friday’s practice session.


Golf Channel reported that Woods had returned to the site of next week’s Masters for another spin around the iconic track on the way, presumably, to making up his mind about whether his game is good enough to take on the field in the men’s first major of the season.

— Meg Mirshak (@MegMirshak) April 3, 2015 Woods reportedly shot a less-than-stellar 74 on Tuesday, a round that, according to Golfweek, included some “indifferent” chip shots that might indicate Tiger’s short game is not yet ready for prime time. That score may have alarmed Team Tiger, but at least one former member of Woods’ entourage was far more concerned about his wedges than the final score.
