The Rory McIlroy-Niall Horan Show, after taking Augusta National by storm in April, moved to England where the golfing/singing power duo played before Tiger Woods-like crowds in Wednesday’s BMW PGA Championship pro-am.

World No. 1 Rory McIlroy and One Direction’s Niall Horan are the stars of the BMW PGA Championship pro-am tourney.

Horan, of the singing quartet, One Direction, created quite a stir when he caddied for McIlroy in the Par-3 Contest ahead of the Masters and teed it up Wednesday with the world No. 1 and former Manchester United soccer stars Paul Scholes and Phil Neville.
Ridiculous crowd for this #BMWPGA Pro-Am group. You'd think Tiger Woods was playing, not one fifth of One Direction. pic.twitter.com/Wi915V00Pn

McIlroy was amused at how shaky his teammates were when they began their Wentworth exhibition.
“I couldn’t believe how nervous they boys were on the first tee,” said the BMW PGA defending champion, who admitted he would be jumpy if he had to sing in front of 70,000 people who regularly turn out to hear Horan sing.
As for whether he was a better vocalist than Horan was a golfer, the four-time major champ offered a diplomatic response.
“Ahhhhhh, that is a close one,” said McIlroy, who, in return for his buddy’s looping at Augusta, has agreed to appear on stage with Horan in Boston later this year during the PGA Tour’s Deutsche Bank Championship. “I have a lot of improvement to do in the singing department and he can definitely improve his golf.”
Well played, Boy Wonder. Should the 11-time PGA Tour winner actually decide to retire at age 40, looks like he has a career in politics awaiting him.
