Here's an early-morning wedge lesson from Tiger Woods at No. 11. #QuickHits http://t.co/dAT8pszuXf

Even though Tiger used a putter from off the green a couple times on Thursday at TPC Sawgrass, there’s still been no sign of those chipping woes from earlier in the season.

In a career overflowing with achievements, one of the most remarkable turns may be how Tiger Woods has recovered the ability to hit wedges in the last couple months. It looked hopeless back in February -- he was crippled standing over the most basic shots in the game. The word “yips” was used most to describe whatever was going on with the 14-time major winner.
Then he came back at Augusta, a place that leaves no margin for error on those shots, and it was as if nothing had happened. He made every shot he needed to and wasn’t using a putter or 4-iron from just off the green.
This week at The Players, there’s been no sign of those same wedge woes. That was on display again early Friday, when Tiger stuffed a wedge to a couple feet for an easy birdie on just his second hole.
Of course, with this iteration of Tiger, that birdie wouldn’t ignite some major charge up the board. He gave it back on the very next hole with a bogey after a wild drive left.
