This will be the first full weekend when the PGA Tour has to deal with both the NFL and college football swallowing the sports landscape almost whole. They’re used to it by now, especially with these final two events of the FedExCup, which could use some tweaks here and there. But finding an adjustment or fix for the scheduling issue against football is much tougher.
How to watch Saturday’s BMW Championship live online, TV schedule and more
Football may consume your weekend now, but juuuust in case you want to watch the hottest athlete in sports right at the moment, here’s how.

For the final three legs of the FedExCup, NBC takes over from CBS, which has both SEC football on Saturday and AFC NFL games all day on Sunday. NBC, on the other hand, has to work around Notre Dame home games and is mostly free on Sunday before prime time NFL. Unfortunately for NBC golf, this is a Saturday when Notre Dame is at home. So they’ll have early third round coverage from Noon to 3:30 p.m. ET before switching to their Comcast sister, Golf Channel, for the conclusion of the round.
Aside from the unconventional TV schedule, the tee times schedule is also off on Saturday due to threatening weather in the Chicago area. This Conway Farms layout has been crushed by rain this week. A major storm forced everyone off the course early on Thursday and then it dumped again on Friday night after they got through the first 36 holes. The Tour expected severe storms overnight so they made an early call that Saturday’s round would be pushed back a bit and the field would go off split tees in groups of three.
The final trio of Jason Day, Brendon Todd and Daniel Berger will tee off just after 1 p.m. ET during that initial NBC window. Barring no more weather delays, they should finish on Golf Channel around 5:30 p.m. There will be plenty of attractive football games to watch, but Day’s dominance right now may be the best show in sports. He’s unconscious and putting together a Tiger-like run. At 18-under, which matched a 36-hole PGA Tour scoring record, he’s five shots clear of what seems to be a hopeless field of chasers.
If you’re unable to get in front of a TV, or would just rather those screens be occupied by football, there will be multiple streams up and running throughout the day. PGA Tour Live was originally scheduled to start their featured holes stream at 8:30 a.m. ET, but with no one on the course until at least 11, that should get bumped back a bit. In addition to that featured holes stream, NBC and Golf Channel will also have their usual simulcast stream online via their LiveExtra service. Here are all your media options for the third round:
