PGA Tour pro’s attempted shot off rocks ends with disastrous results

Even the best in the world can look like silly weekend hacks trying to pull off miracle shots.

The players on the PGA Tour are the best in the world and they regularly, daily, pull off shots that almost everyone on the planet can only dream of attempting. But every now and then, they get a little too crazy and cross the line of what their abilities can produce.

Here, Chesson Hadley tried to pull a miracle escape from some rocks abutting the green out in Palm Springs at the CareerBuilder Challenge. Instead he got a ricochet, a water ball, and a penalty stroke.

The ignominy of that hole, however, did not linger because, again, these players are probably better at golf than you will be at anything ever in your life. So on the next hole, Hadley dropped his approach shot from 142 yards right in the cup for an eagle.
