Round 2 of the PGA Championship from Quail Hollow in Charlotte, N.C. finished with a few big-name golfers at the top of the leaderboard. Finishing out first on a day that ended in a rain delay were Kevin Kisner, who shot a 4-under on Friday, and The Players’ Championship winner Hideki Matsuyama, who shot an impressive 64 on Friday to tie him with Kisner at 8-under.

Rounding out some of those who are primed to have a big moving day include Jason Day (3rd), who jumped up 12 spots from Thursday to finish third at 5-under after his Friday round, and Chris Stroud, Francesco Molinari, and Louis Oosthuizen all enter Saturday at T4. Rickie Fowler (T6) finished at 1-under to move up a spot on the leaderboard.

More PGA Championship!

British Open champion Jordan Spieth finished at T44 after hitting 3-over on Friday. If he wants to be in contention on Sunday, he’ll have to have a pretty big Saturday round.

Rain for most of the afternoon on Friday at Quail Hollow caused a suspension of play, which wasn’t resumed until 6:25 p.m. As a result, some golfers were unable to finish their rounds until early Saturday morning. Round 3 will be played in groups of three beginning at 9:50 a.m to make up for the later start.

The forecast for most of the day Saturday in Charlotte. N.C. looks a little better, with a 50 percent chance of rain, with some scattered thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Hopefully the rain can hold off to avoid any more play suspensions on moving day.
