Rickie Fowler will wear special Arnold Palmer high tops at Bay Hill

These will definitely be the most unique golf shoes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week.

Rickie Fowler is back at the Arnold Palmer Invitational this year and he’s once again paying homage to The King with his golf shoes.

Fowler became especially close with Palmer in recent years, and then also became a fixture at this tournament. So it’s no surprise to see someone who is always willing to switch up styles to use his shoes to honor the King and raise some cash for the Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation.

These high-tops would not fly every week on Tour, but I’m way in on them for Bay Hill.

Fowler first brought high-tops to the Tour at the start of last year, pairing them with joggers and causing a mini-uproar among stuffier golf crowds. He’s varied the styles since then. While they may be a little loud on a golf course, this edition of the high tops work well for the theme of the week, look slick, and are actually for a good cause.
