While the threat of scattered afternoon showers and storms continue for the Indianapolis 500 today, there has been some improvement in the forecast models. The last two updates for this afternoon over the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has pushed the timing of potential showers more towards the evening than during the actual race.
2013 Indy 500 race day weather forecast: Will it or won’t it rain?
Weather forecast for the 2013 Indianapolis 500 is calling for scattered showers and thunderstorms across Indiana. Could these showers affect the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500?

I am going to keep the threat of scattered showers and storms in the Indianapolis 500 weather forecast for this afternoon as a warm front will be draped across central Indiana. Weather disturbances can ride along these boundaries like a train on tracks and spark areas of rain.
Do we get all 500 miles in today? I say the likelihood of getting the full 200 laps completed today are around 60%
Will there be any rain related delays? The odds of getting a rain related delay could be around 40% especially towards the afternoon.
