Indy 500 starting grid 2015: Scott Dixon has pole Sunday

We’ve got the full lineup and starting grid for the Indy 500.

The Indianapolis 500, called the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, is set to get underway with its 99th running on Sunday. The event will draw massive amounts of interest, even among those who don’t follow the Indy Racing League, and this year they should be treated to another competitive, unpredictable race.

The 33-driver field is wide open this year, though Will Power has received much of the buzz. He qualified in second place on the grid, behind Scott Dixon and ahead of Simon Pagenaud. The second row is comprised of Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves and Justin Wilson. It won’t just be “Gentlemen, start your engines,” with Simona de Silvestro (qualified in the sixth row) and Pippa Mann (qualified in the ninth row) in the field.

Ryan Briscoe will be driving for James Hinchcliffe in the No. 5 car after “Hinch” injured both legs during a frightening crash at practice that sent a part of the suspension into his leg. Hinchcliffe qualified 24th, but due to the driver change Briscoe will be forced to start at the back of the field.

It’s a packed weekend as far as racing is concerned, with two of the three races from the so-called “Triple Crown of Motorsport” going down on Sunday. The Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix is also taking place on Sunday.

The race, run from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, is set to get underway at 12:15 p.m. ET on ABC. Below, we’ve got a full look at the lineup and starting grid for the big race:
