2016 Indy 500: Starting grid and time for Sunday

Hinchcliffe captured the pole position with a qualifying speed of 230.760 mph in the Fast Nine portion on the second day of qualifying last Sunday. It came one year after a near-fatal crash during practice for the 2015 Indy 500.
This is the sixth Indianapolis 500 for Hinchcliffe, whose best finish was sixth place in 2012.
There are six former Indy 500 winners in the 33-car field on Sunday — Ryan Hunter-Reay (2014 winner) starts in third position, Helio Castroneves (2001, 2002, 2009) ninth, Scott Dixon (2008) 13th, Juan Pablo Montoya (2000, 2015) 17th, Tony Kanaan (2013) 18th and Buddy Lazier (1996) 32nd.
ABC will have television coverage of the Indianapolis 500 beginning with a pre-race show at 11 a.m. ET. Race coverage begins at noon, with Allen Bestwick calling the action alongside analysts Scott Goodyear and Eddie Cheever in the booth, plus pit reporters Jon Beekhuis, Rick DeBruhl and Dr. Jerry Punch. The green flag is scheduled for 12:17 p.m.
Online coverage of the race will be available on WatchESPN.
