Sunday marks the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 but one thing that could ruin such a spectacle could be the weather. While a cold front is expected to cross central Indiana late in the day Sunday, most of the weather data has the forecast dry for the Indy 500.
Race day weather forecast for the 100th running of the 2016 Indianapolis 500
Weak cold front will work across central Indiana by Sunday afternoon and into the evening. A few showers and storms are possible but the 100th of the Indianapolis 500 looks to remain mostly dry.

If there is any rain, it will be in the form of spotty showers/storms towards the second half of the race. Overall the odds of racing the complete 500 miles is around 85 to 90 percent. Odds of being a delay is 15 percent or less. I feel pretty confident of a mostly dry Indianapolis 500.
