Usain Bolt narrowly defeated countryman Asafa Powell in the 100-meter sprint Thursday night at the Diamond League meet in Oslo, Norway, winning in a time of 9.79 seconds. Powell finished second, in 9.85.

Lerone Clarke, also from Jamaica, was third, in 10.10.

Powell led for most of the race, but Bolt, who got off to a slow start, steamed past him in the final 20 meters, as he is now known to do. How close was it? Let’s watch the video (while it exists) to find out!

It marks Bolt’s second win over Powell in as many weeks -- the world-record holder bested his fellow Jamaican in Rome last week, handing Powell his 10th defeat in their last 11 meetings in the process. Bolt turned in a time of 9.76, while Powell finished in 9.91.

For both, Thursday’s race was a key warm-up before August’s Summer Olympics in London.

“I came to Europe to run these races to make sure that everything was going well and my coach could analyze my race and figure out what was going wrong to work on it and get me ready for the trials and Olympics,” Bolt said before Thursday.

Full results can be found at the Diamond League's site.
