This was almost like calling off a fair catch in football. Nastia Liukin faceplanted on the uneven bars, which is something in itself. But there was a spotter standing by. And he appeared to have everything sized up ... until he didn’t.

I mean, he’s there. All he has to do is stick his arms out. Granted, his arms could’ve been ripped off, but isn’t that why the spotter’s there?

At any rate, this looked painful -- spotter or not.
