Stevan Ridley clearly felt like the Pats needed to even out karmaically, by falling down, going boom, and lying on the ground while Da’Norris Searcy scooped and scored.
The rule that the ground can’t cause a fumble only matters if somebody hits you, which nobody did.
And, yes, Ridley got benched for LaGarrette Blount.
