Dez Bryant injury: Cowboys WR has foot sprain, likely to play in Week 2

The Cowboys dodged a major injury with Bryant probable to not miss playing time.

The Dallas Cowboys fans can breathe a nice, deep sigh of relief upon getting the news that wide receiver Dez Bryant only has a mild foot sprain and should be playing in Week Two against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Ed Werder.

Bryant was injured in the fourth quarter against the New York Giants and was really ticked off at how much the Gatorade didn't care about his plight, as seen below. Warning: Brutal stuff.

It’s unclear how much Bryant will practice leading up to the game, if at all.

The 24-year-old receiver has proven to be durable over the past two seasons after missing four games his rookie seasons, by only sitting out once in the past two years.

Last year, Bryant broke out as an elite player in the NFL, three years after being taken as a first round pick by Dallas. The Oklahoma State product caught 92 passes for 1,382 yards with 12 touchdowns.
