Eating too much, sinking into a food coma in front of a slate of NBA games. It felt like Christmas, but something was missing; someone wasn’t there. Craig Sager’s loud suits and sideline interviews didn’t grace our TVs in 2014, but this tribute to the broadcaster and his battle with leukemia was perfect.
Sager is winning his fight. A bone marrow transplant with son Craig Jr. was successful, and while he’s not out of the woods yet, Sager’s wife Stacy summed up his recovery perfectly: “A miracle.”
