Both the Heat and Spurs won on Wednesday to advance to the NBA’s Final Four. This marks Miami’s fourth straight trip to the conference finals. San Antonio will be making its third straight appearance.

Which is to be expected, given they have won five of the past nine titles.

This should not be a surprise: over the last decade, the Heat and Spurs have more wins than any other teams. It’s not even particularly close, as this chart shows.
That’s 88 wins for the Spurs and 85 for the Heat. The Lakers and Celtics have 59 each.
Of course, San Antonio and Miami have five of the nine championships awarded in that spell, too. (The 10th will be award in a month. The other four have been won by the Lakers (two), Celtics and Mavericks, who happen to be Nos. 3-5 on the list.)
If you go back two decades, the Spurs still remain on top, but the Lakers make a run at it.
