2014: We knew Eastern Michigan was putting in a gray field. But we didn't know that it would look like a 1940s telecast when they actually played on it:

A gray field looks exactly as dull and drab as you’d expected.

We were fine with Eastern Washington's BLOODFIELD, but this actually looks like something is wrong with my television.
EMU’s doing this to be different and to embrace Midwestern factory branding.
