The New York Giants just can’t stop shooting themselves in the foot here in Week 13, as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road.
Eli Manning and the Giants can’t get out of their own way vs. Steelers
Red zone interceptions don’t help.
The Giants have three penalties early in the game, and one was a costly holding in the end zone to give the Steelers a 2-0 lead.
As the Giants were charging back down the field, it appeared they might be taking a lead, but Eli Manning threw a pick in the red zone.
It was a great play by Lawrence Timmons, as he extended for the ball. For his career, that was the 32nd red zone interception for Manning.
In the second half, the Giants went for it on 4th down at the goal line and came up short, still trailing the Steelers 14-0.
In the fourth quarter, it was much of the same for the Giants, as Eli Manning threw an interception:
The Giants will have to hunker down and make fewer mistakes if they hope to escape Pittsburgh with a win.
