Previously, it was reported by multiple sources that Jerry DiPoto would leave the Diamondbacks after seeing Kevin Towers take over as GM. Now Ken Rosenthal is saying the opposite - that DiPoto will actually remain with the organization, and serve as the head of scouting and player development.

It’s a good bit of news for Arizona, as DiPoto is widely respected throughout the game, and an excellent man for the job. DiPoto can now be crossed out as a possibility to take over as GM elsewhere.
