In the top of the fourth inning on Friday night, the Phillies managed to break through against Braves starter Brandon Beachy to tie the game at one. With runners on first and second, Raul Ibanez singled to bring home Ryan Howard.
Two batters later, Carlos Ruiz smacked a two-out single to score a second run, and the Phillies took a 2-1 lead.

Kyle Kendrick had only allowed one earned run through 15 innings against the Braves this season, but the Braves doubled that total in one inning against the Phillies on Friday night.
With Jason Heyward on first, Derrek Lee doubled to the gap, and Heyward raced all the way around the bases to score. The Braves now lead entering the second inning, 1-0.
