Game 3 is starting to look bad for Minnesota. Not only is Phil Hughes perfect through three innings, on just 31 pitches - the Yankees used the third inning to put another run on the board against Brian Duensing.
Yankees Vs. Twins, ALDS Game 3: Nick Swisher And Mark Teixeira Double Yankees Lead
The inning began innocently enough, with Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter grounding out. Nick Swisher, though, then split the outfielders with a double to left-center, and Mark Teixeira followed by ripping a line drive over Delmon Young's head in left field. Teixeira was held to a single, but it scored Swisher from second easily, and it's now a 2-0 ballgame as we go into the fourth.
Duensing is at 39 pitches through three, with 28 strikes.
