I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but today and tomorrow I’ll be attending -- and for 90 minutes Saturday morning, participating in -- the fifth annual MIT-Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. The list of featured speakers is ridiculous, and I won’t even mention some of the people I met Thursday night at the reception.

↵The bad news (for you) is that the event has been completely sold out for some time. The good news is that some of the panel discussions -- including, I hope, the Baseball Analytics panel, which I’m moderating -- will be streamed live via the Web. However you do it, for these next couple of days this is the place to be.
