The Tampa Bay Rays hold a 3-0 lead over the Cleveland Indians after six innings of play in the American League Wild Card game on Wednesday.
AL Wild Card, Rays vs. Indians score update: Tampa Bay still holds 3-0 lead
Tampa Bay keeps rolling along while Cleveland repeatedly squanders serious scoring threats.

Rays starter Alex Cobb, who induced almost twice as many ground outs as fly outs during the regular season, worked his magic to retain the lead. After allowing Cleveland to load the bases in the fourth, Cobb induced a ground ball double play off the bat of Asdrubal Cabrera to end the rally.
The Indians had runners on the corners with nobody out an inning later after Yan Gomes doubled and Lonnie Chisenhall singled, but Cobb struck out Michael Bourn and got Nick Swisher and Jason Kipnis to ground out.
Indians starter Danny Salazar allowed three runs on four hits before leaving the game after walking Jose Molina to lead off the fifth.
Cobb has scattered six hits in six innings of work while striking out four and walking one.
