The good news is the Dodgers got it out of the way early by going up 1-0 in the first inning with a Cody Bellinger RBI.
Their streak is the second of its kind to be broken this week, as the Indians’ 67 innings straight leading their opponents was snapped on Tuesday night.
It’s still early, so Arizona’s 12-game win streak isn’t in danger just yet — another thing it shares with the Indians as Cleveland is currently on a 14-game win streak over in the American League.
While the Diamondbacks don’t have a chance of catching the Dodgers in the division race, they do still have a chance to sweep them in this series as revenge for the Dodgers breaking the streak just short of Arizona making history.
