The Los Angeles Dodgers need a win in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium just to keep their season alive. The Boston Red Sox, up three games to one in the Fall Classic, are headed home either way, and a win on Sunday would give them a championship trophy to take home on the plane.

Clayton Kershaw gets the start on Sunday for the Dodgers, looking for a rebound after failing to record an out in the fifth inning in his Game 1 start. Kershaw has allowed one run in 15 innings in two home starts this postseason, a 0.60 ERA, compared to a 10.13 ERA on the road.

“We’ve still got to play, and we’re not out yet. We’ve got to go out there and still respect what [the Red Sox have] done but our guys aren’t done,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday night. “We’ve got our best going tomorrow and we’re expecting to win a baseball game.”

The Red Sox will turn to David Price on short rest to close it out, not only only four days after his Game 2 win but also just two days after Price recorded two outs in relief in Game 3, throwing 13 pitches.

Boston manager Alex Cora opted for Price over a fully rested Sale, with the fallback that should the series move back to Fenway Park the left-hander would be on six days rest.

“This is a good spot for David, in a National League park to start a game. Obviously he’s been throwing the ball well,” Cora said on Saturday night. “It’s not that we’re playing with the lead, but we feel that for the team, for where we’re at pitching-wise, it’s good to go with David.”
