While the crowd sang along to “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now” it became clear that something was up. Shortly thereafter, it was announced that Haye was not walking out yet as he “wasn’t yet ready.” Lennox Lewis, a part of the ring walk of Haye, stood idly in the backstage area. Finally, Haye emerged and walked to the ring with the crowd singing along to his entrance music once more.
It’s entirely likely that this is just the next in a series of head games by Haye in his efforts to win the mental battle with Wladimir. But the time for mental battles is over, as Haye walks to the ring, it is time for him to back up his talk with actions.
