David Haye Next Fight - Haye Faces Retirement Decision Following Loss To Wladimir Klitschko
David Haye spent years calling out Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko. It was so much a part of his career and life since 2008 that there was no doubt that it would define his legacy. So when he stepped into the ring with Wladimir Klitschko it was much more than a heavyweight title fight for Haye.
But when it was time to back up his talking with actions, Haye came up miserably short. For all his talking about how he would knock Wlad out, even saying he would send him to the hospital, as well as the infamous shirt of him holding the severed heads of both Klitschko Brothers, Haye rarely looked like he had bad intentions in the ring.

The final round of Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye saw Haye desperately needing a knockout. Haye would land a huge right hand early that clearly stunned Klitschko. Wladimir was forced to hold on to avoid any further punishmen but once he recovered he began to open up with big punches of his own.
Wladimir continued to let the right hand go off of the jab and take the round back into his own control.

Round ten of the bout between David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko was a round fought with Haye appearing to desperately need a knockout. Instead of letting his hands go, he continued to move backward, occasionally throwing overhand rights that came up short and getting jabbed by the taller champion.
Wladimir would counter a right hand with a sharp jab.With thirty seconds left in the round, Klitschko held a 14-1 advantage in total punches landed in the round. Simply not good enough for what Haye needed to do.

Round eight of the heavyweight championship fight between David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko appeared to be in the same mold as the prior few rounds. Haye appeared to be content not throwing many punches while Klitschko looked to reach out with his jab and occasionally follow it with his right hand.
Haye went tumbling to the mat again after a small push but this time the referee did not take a point away from Wladimir as he did in round 7.

Shortly thereafter, it was announced that Haye was not walking out yet as he “wasn’t yet ready.” Lennox Lewis, a part of the ring walk of Haye, stood idly in the backstage area. Finally, Haye emerged and walked to the ring with the crowd singing along to his entrance music once more.
It’s entirely likely that this is just the next in a series of head games by Haye in his efforts to win the mental battle with Wladimir. But the time for mental battles is over, as Haye walks to the ring, it is time for him to back up his talk with actions.
