No. 11: List Of Drivers’ Song Choices For August Bristol Race
One of the best new traditions at any track is drivers picking their own theme songs to be played during pre-race introductions at Bristol.
It’s fun to see which songs the drivers choose because it provides insight into their musical tastes, what kind of tunes they think will excite the crowd and their sense of humor (such as Carl Edwards picking War’s “Why Can’t We Be Friends?”).
The people at Bristol were kind enough to pass along the songs list a few days before the night race in August, and it ranked as the No. 11 story on our most-clicked blogs of the year.
Of course, now that Bristol has introduced the extra element of the drivers introducing themselves to the crowd (which sparked Brad Keselowski’s infamous “Kyle Busch is an ass!”), this tradition is only going to get more popular.
