Rick Hendrick Offers Details On Plane Crash, Reacts To 2011 NASCAR Chase
Rick Hendrick is still recovering from injuries sustained in an October plane crash, the NASCAR team owner told reporters in a teleconference Monday morning.
Hendrick said he was wearing his seatbelt when a private plane carrying he and his wife, Linda, sustained a brake failure and went off the end of the runway in Key West, Fla.

In related news, Hendrick Motorsports said Wednesday that Hendrick sustained a broken collarbone and four broken ribs in the crash – not just one broken rib, as previously reported – and was admitted to a medical facility in the Charlotte area on Tuesday.

NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick is out of the hospital this morning after sustaining a broken rib and collarbone when his plane ran off the end of a runway in Key West, Fla. on Monday night.
Hendrick is back safely in North Carolina, along with his wife, Linda, and their two pilots. Linda Hendrick was treated for minor cuts and bruises and neither pilot was injured.

Getty Images for NASCARHendrick Motorsports team owner Rick Hendrick and his wife, Linda, were among four people who escaped serious injury Monday night after the plane they were riding in ran off the end of the runway upon landing in Key West, Fla.
A statement released by the team said a Gulfstream G150 airplane operated by HMS had “braking issues” upon landing. Hendrick, his wife and the two pilots were all taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
