The seventh annual Prelude to the Dream will take place Wednesday at the half-mile dirt oval Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The mid-week exhibition race will see some of the best racers from NASCAR, IndyCar and NHRA try their hand at Dirt Late Model stock cars in an effort to raise money for a worthy cause.
The event will be shown on HBO Pay-Per-View at 8 p.m. ET and the net proceeds of the coverage will benefit four of the top children’s hospitals in the nation: Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
The drivers have been broken up into four teams, each team representing one of the hospitals. The teams will take the five highest finishing drivers and add their results together and the team with the lowest score will win.
