J.J. Yeley Moves To Front Row Motorsports For Remainder Of 2011

After piloting the No. 38 Ford to a 23rd-place finish this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, J.J. Yeley has been tapped to run the remainder of the 2011 season with Front Row Motorsports.

Leaving Whitney Motorsports - primarily a start-and-park team - Yeley will jump back and forth between the No. 55 Ford and the No. 38 Ford for the 17 races remaining in the season.

“J.J. is a great addition to our team,” Front Row Motorsports team owner Bob Jenkins said. “He brings a lot of good experience and it showed right away in his first weekend in one of our cars. We’re still a relatively young team and trying to grow each year, and I think bringing J.J. aboard is a good step in that progress.”

In 15 starts with Whitney Motorsports, Yeley completed 945 of a possible 5,128 laps, parking the No. 46 in each of his starts. After being with organizations such as Joe Gibbs Racing, Yeley said he “jumped at the opportunity” upon hearing Front Row Motorsports needed a driver.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the Ford horsepower under the hood - it’s phenomenal,” Yeley said. “And, as a team, we all worked well together. We had a good first week together, and we’re going to keep building from there.”
