The UPS full-season sponsorship of the No. 6 car will be dropped in 2012, according to a report in Friday's SportsBusiness Journal.
Report: UPS To Cut Back On Sponsorship Of No. 6 Car In 2012
↵SBJ said the shipping company will only sponsor four to eight races at Roush Fenway Racing in 2012, and is “in talks to shift its sponsorship to Carl Edwards.”
↵That could mean the end of a job for Roush Fenway’s David Ragan, who is currently in the car sponsored by UPS. It’s unclear whether Roush Fenway would be able to come up with another sponsor before next season.
↵Roush Fenway president Steve Newmark declined comment to SBJ and said the company was still in talks with the sponsor.
