#FactsWithoutWikipedia: NASCAR Fans Give Their Best Responses

The #FactsWithoutWikipedia meme is all the rage today, and NASCAR tweeps are having fun with it.

In case you hadn’t heard, Wikipedia is dark today (see for yourself at Wikipedia.org) out of protest for the vile SOPA law proposed by Congress.

But with Wikipedia’s absence comes a funny meme called #FactsWithoutWikipedia in which users are submitting false “facts” that jokingly moves the Internet’s encyclopedia to the Twittersphere.

NASCAR fans are getting in on the fun, too. Here are some of the funniest or most creative NASCAR “facts” we’ve seen so far today:

---------

@tiffy09854: Jimmie Johnson is a start-and-parker.

@Tricia88fan: Jeremy Mayfield has a spot in the Bud Shootout.

@shoredairy: Ward Burton helped design the Rosetta Stone software.

@shrader006: Kasey Kahne got $1 million dollars for the next “Got Milk?” commercial.

@chkltcow: Steve Wallace signed to replace Jeff Gordon in #24 DuPont Chevy for 2013.

Like Wikipedia, SB Nation and parent company Vox Media are officially opposed to SOPA. You can read our official position on the topic here or read why the legislation could affect sports fans.
